Nature & Neighborhoods

Eagle’s Watch has been carefully designed to ensure that our residents will live in harmony and balance with nature. True to its name, Eagle’s Watch is home to a pair of protected bald eagles that live on the property seven months a year. Their expansive nesting area is a deeded conservation zone.
Knotch and Serrata are about 5 years old with wingspans of 7 feet. The pair of eagles have chosen to nest high atop the bluffs overlooking Old Topsail Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway. Eagle’s Watch has the only active bald eagle nest in the Wilmington, North Carolina area.

The developers of Eagle’s Watch take very seriously their responsibility of stewardship of the eagles and feel they are a treasure for our residents to enjoy. They have worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect the eagles and strive to create a community where nature and wildlife are embraced throughout the design.

The community concept is to focus on preserving the property’s natural resources with minimal changes to the habitat. Eagle’s Watch is a uniquely low-density community with only 134 homesites located on 130 acres.

A recreational nature trail winds through the property, so residents can appreciate our commitment to these natural resources up close. Along your stroll down the trail you’ll also be among great blue herons, horned owls, pileated woodpeckers and box turtles, to name a few more of your new neighbors.

Discover the perfect balance of Eagle's Watch where nature and neighborhood are one.
